Internet Only Courses

Northland Pioneer College offers a number of courses that are held on-line, not in any classroom.

Beginning with the Fall 2013 semester, NPC is implementing a program to improve student learning in Internet-based classes.  Prior to enrollment in Internet sections (POS 221 & 222 are exempt) students must either demonstrate or develop basic computer skills necessary for online learning.  Students who feel proficient and confident about their abilities can demonstrate this by completing an opt-out test.  Those who have trouble successfully completing the test, or want to brush up their skills, must enroll in Skills fore Online Learning - ICT 095, a half-credit, tuition-free course consisting of four hours of face-to-face contact and four hours of online work.  The online competency testing requirement is explained on this webpage.

About e-Cashier

About e-Cashier

As part of this program, qualified students can budget their tuition, fees and books using either an Automatic Bank Payment or Credit Card Option. Under both options, payments will be taken each month until the balance is paid-in-full.

The Bank Payment Option authorizes money to be processed directly from your banking institution, a bank-to-bank transfer of funds pre-approved to cover expenses at NPC.

The Credit Card Option allows students to pay their semester expenses with a VISA®, MasterCard®, Discover® or American Express® credit card or by using a debit card, if the student’s daily draw limit is high enough to cover the charges. The monthly payment will be automatically charged to the card designated by the student.

Four Important Things to Remember About e-Cashier
  1. e-Cashier is not a loan program; there is no debt or credit check
  2. Students are allowed to choose a payment schedule and view account summaries online.
  3. The cost to budget your interest-free monthly payment plan is a non-refundable $25 per  semester.
  4. There is no charge to use e-Cashier if balance is paid in full.
