Learner-Centered Course

The advantage of an Internet-based lecture is that you can work on the course material when it is convenient; the problem is that it is easy to get behind in your work. This course is learner centered; it is dependent upon you acting responsibly and taking control of your learning.

Communication with Dr. Jacob

Electronic mail is the best way to communicate with Dr. Jacob.  Please use your NPC student email account rather than your personal or work-related email account.  Messages sent to Dr. Jacob from an email account other than your NPC student email account will not be read.  If you receive an email message from Dr.  Jacob and reply from via a non NPC-issued email account, the message will not be read.  I recognize that this requirement may create some inconvenience for you, but it protects your privacy and provide me with assurance that I am not communicating with an impostor.

You can contact the Information Services' Support Center (support.center@npc.edu or (928.524.7444) if you do not know your College email address.  If your last name on the class roster does not matches the name on your NPC-issued student email account, please contact NPC Records & Registration (928.524.7660 or recreg@npc.edu) immediately to initiate a change so that the names match.
